Giving Thanks to Yourself

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought I would share some insight on showing gratitude to yourself. A lot of the time when it comes to the holidays, people start to worry about buying gifts for Christmas and going on cleaning rampages for their guests that are about to come over. I know.......I'm guilty of it too.

But what I've realized is that I never make enough time to show gratitude for myself and those around me. When it comes to this time of year it not only gets chaotic, but the weather always seems to put a damper on people's moods. I want you ladies to know that you will get through it. Even though this time of year might not be your favorite because of all the stress you're under, I'm here to remind you to give yourself a pat on the back because you do a lot...and I mean...A LOT!

Your guests come over for Thanksgiving dinner and while it may look tidy and clean, they only appreciate it for a couple hours. And to be honest, do they truly come up to you and say, "Thank you so much for cleaning the dust bunnies, it would've been a disaster if you didn't!!"

No.......

So instead of worrying so much about making everything perfect, spend the quality time with loved ones around you. Now I'm not saying you totally need to ditch on cleaning your house but recognize that the time spent with your family and friends, is much more memorable than a clean house.

On top of that, thank YOURSELF. You do so much, whether that be cleaning the house, getting dinner ready, buying all the Christmas gifts or whatever it is that you do, you need to remember that you ROCK!!!!

As a way to thank yourself you could even think about booking a boudoir shoot. I've had women come in around this time because they've realized to use this opportunity to give thanks to themselves for all their hard work. These photos can end up being a time capsule for you. So one day when you're feeling the same way you are now, under so much stress and chaos, you can physically see that you made it. Even in the most chaotic time of you life, you still loved yourself.

And it's not selfish! It's taking care of your mind, body, and soul. Show appreciation to your body during this time, you're more worthy than what you think.

With that being said, I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving and safe travels!! I'm so thankful for my boudoir family, you guys truly mean the world to me.
